Being a full time wedding photographer, most of my days are spent at home, in front my of computer with a cup of coffee (or three). As I retouch what seems like an endless amount of photos, I find myself thinking, ‘How can God use me as a disciple when I barely leave my house?’ It’s by loving Him whole-heartedly and loving others selflessly. Each day He gives my life purpose & direction. He provides roughly 50 couples a year, as well as families and individuals, for my husband and I to love. I want our couples to not only love one another, but pursue Christ’s love above anything else.
I want to serve others so they can see Christ’s love in us, and what is a better time than when they are beginning their life of love together? A common question we get to ask our couples is, “So how did you guys meet?” It opens the door to not only share our personal love story, but the ultimate love story. It’s easy to love each other, and even ourselves, but He wants to be loved first.
God has given me a gift to use for his glory. He has lead me on a path that I could not forged on my own. Through my experiences, both good and bad, the path He has chosen for me has shown me more of who He is and how I can disciple others.
“Also consider that since God has called you, He is completely able to reveal your purpose to you, and He will as you diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6
